Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP is a full service certified public accounting and business advisory firm. Our headquarters are located in the University Corporate Center - 100 Corporate Parkway, Suite 200, Amherst, NY 14226. We also have an office in the historic Village of East Aurora, New York.

Since 1923, our Firm has been providing professional audit, accounting, and tax services to our clientele across the United States and Canada. While we have always been a professional advisor to our clients, we formalized this offering in the late 1970s with the establishment of our Business Consulting Group. In an effort to more fully address an ever-increasing global marketplace, we added Asset Based Lending Services through the establishment of our ABL Group in 1998. In 2004, we merged with the firm of J.D. Elliott & Co. P.C., which had been practicing continuously since 1913 – the year the IRS first published its regulations. This solidified the resources we provide today.

Our Firm participates in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review program. Every three years, the Firm must submit to a peer review of quality control policies and procedures. Our most recent Peer Review conducted in November 2008, resulted in an unqualified report – the highest level of peer review acceptance conferred by the AICPA.

The Firm’s qualified professionals are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

As a public accounting firm, the significant majority of our professionals are licensed CPAs. Recent college graduates joining our Firm have a primary professional goal of meeting the rigorous qualifications necessary to successfully complete the New York State Certified Public Accountancy Exam and obtain their CPA licensure. In addition, our professionals acquire a minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education each year.

Our firm’s emphasis is to build a trusted relationship with our clients, deliver value and target ways to help contribute to their success. Our clients rely on us as their business advisors. We work extremely hard to go beyond providing traditional accounting services by focusing on understanding our clients’ business, operations and the challenges they face.
